Tape Rotation Services

How does this service work?
FileVault provides daily, weekly, and monthly rotation services. Media is always transported in locked containers. These containers used for transport are industry standard to withstand physical and thermal shock. Items are transported in vehicles providing for minimal variation in humidity and temperature.

How is my data stored?
Data is slotted individually in specialized media racking or in locked containers. It is the clients choice

Should I be worried about giving my data to FileVault?
Our trained staff couriers ensure that your data is available to you on demand 24 hours per day. Media is stored in a state-of-the-art, stand-alone, windowless structure with no identification on the outside of the building. Security cameras document all activity. Our vault is monitored both inside and outside on a 24/7/365 basis.

Is your vault secure and safe for my data?
The media vault is constructed of concrete walls and floors and equipped with state-of-the-art temperature and humidity controls to meet ANSI (Association of National Standards Institute) standards for magnetic media storage. In addition, our vaults are equipped with environmental monitoring equipment and protected with halon fire protection suppression systems. These features have resulted in a maximum rating on our vaults.

E-Backup Services

What is this service and how does it work?
FileVault’s Backup service, based on IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), offers a full backup & restore solution. Advantages of electronic data back-up services include savings in administrator time, speed of data recovery, and reliability and integrity of backups. If designated backup tapes are not being taken off-site consistently, this is the service for you.

Do I have to buy anything for this service?
There is no expensive hardware or software to purchase. All you need is your existing Internet connections.
